Tulle Skirts aka Tutu's

When I was younger I took dance and one of the things I loved so much about it was getting my costumes for the final shows which almost always included a tutu. Tutu's seemed to be pretty much the coolest things ever to me when I was young and getting a new one for each dance was beyond exciting. As I grew older and slowly stopped dancing I stopped getting new tutus and I never put one on until just recently.

Nowadays tutus otherwise known as Tulle Skirts are one of the biggest trends. They can be found at many different stores from H&M, Betsey Johnson, Victoria's Secret, and Target (thats where I got mine!).

I absolutely adore my tulle skirt and I can't wait to get another one!

What do you think of tulle skirts? Do you have one?

Shopping on a Budget

Currently the economy is not as good as we would all like it to be, but this doesn’t mean that our clothing has to go downhill as well. In rough times like these it may be a little hard to go out and spend as much money as we would like on our clothing.

If you find yourself on a tight budget when it comes to clothes, shopping on a budget is the way to go! Here are a few ways you can still look fabulous for a very low price:

1. Be a smart shopper: You do not need to go to Holt Renfrew to purchase all of your favorite clothing. Stores like H&M, Gap, and Forever 21 have very similar clothing for really great prices!

2. Quality over quantity: Although most would like to believe that more is better than less, this is not always the case. Purchase items that will be good for all seasons and not just for one.

3. Mix it up: You can always wear the pieces that you have in a variety of different ways.

4. Thrift shopping: Many people will not be found anywhere near a thrift store, but if you know how to shop and you spend the time looking around you can find some really cool pieces for really reasonable prices.

5. Shop off season: In between seasons stores always have the best sales. Just because something is trendy at the moment doesn’t mean you need to have it right away. Wait a bit and in time your favorite item could be half the price!

Shopping on a budget isn’t that hard! What ways do you go about shopping on a budget?

Clutches that make a statement

LITTLE CLUTCHES seem to be making a big statement this season. The clutch has officially become a staple to all wardrobes since its reappearance in the past few years. A small little clutch will complement any outfit. A clutch is good for a great night out at the bar or a quick shop at the grocery store. It can hold all your basic needs and can fit easily in your hand or under your arm.

Clutches seem to have made their way into the majority of stores. I recently found a simple grey one at the Gap on sale for only $7 (Take a trip there; they may have a few left)! Take a look anywhere from H&M to Holt Renfrew and I am positive that you will find the clutch that best suits you, that is of course if you have not already purchased one.

What is your favorite clutch?
