Crop Tops

So I know it has been a while since I have posted but I just finished watching the movie Julie and Julia and I promised myself that I would get back to blogging on a regular basis. So here I am, back and ready to continue posting about todays latest fashion trends (and a bit about my life of course)!

One of my recent obsessions is CROP TOPS! At first I was a little hesitant about this old style making its way back into the fashion world, but after finding a variety of styles and different ways to wear them I have become obsessed. I just got a long sleeve one from Aritzia yesterday and I can't wait to wear it!

Crop tops looks best in the summer with a pair of jean shorts but they can be worn in the winter as well. Wear them out to a club or with a tank top underneath, these shirts still manage to look fabulous.

They can be found at Urban Outfitters, Aritzia, American Apparel, Forever 21 and of course many other stores. However, the best part about a crop top is that you can always take a shirt and make your own for a cheaper alternative.

From the runway to everyday, thigh high boots are a must have for this upcoming winter. Shoes can make or break an outfit. This winter thigh high boots should be at the top of every woman’s must have list, and your leg (literally)!

Whether strolling on the streets downtown by day or out at a fancy club by night, thigh high boots will make you feel sexy and sophisticated at the same time. Flats, heels, leather, and suede are just a few of the different styles these extravagant boots come in.

The higher the boot the bigger the statement, but watch out because this high fashion trend may not be the easiest to pull off. Picking the right boot for you is the key to looking good. Your best investment is to purchase a pair of black leather thigh high boots. They are classic and can be paired with just about anything.

Thigh high boots have been spotted on many A-list celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Madonna. If you want the A-List style then get yourself a pair of the Christian Louboutin ‘Monica’ boots. If you are looking for a more affordable alternative check out Urban Outfitters.

This trend will not work for everyone, but pairing it with the right outfit and a bit of confidence is bound to turn some heads.

Colorful Jeans

It's always nice to add some color to your outfit so why not add color with a pair of colorful jeans! Colorful jeans has been one of the hottest trends this summer and I absolutely love it! Colored skinny jeans are a great addition to everyones closet. From bright blue to bright pink, colorful jeans have been spotted on celebrities like Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, and Blake Lively.

Gladiator Sandals

Since the weather is finally starting to warm up (here in London, Ontario that is) it is time pull your gladiator sandals out of the closet. If you do not have a pair it is time to go out and buy some! These are one of the biggest shoe trends for this spring and summer and have been spotted on many celebrities like Mary-Kate Olsen.

Gladiator sandals come in a variety of different colors and styles like short, tall, heeled, flat, the list goes on. The best place to purchase a pair of gladiator sandals would be in Greece. However, for a purchase a little closer to home you can find gladiator sandals pretty much anywhere from Urban Outfitters to Dolce and Gabbana.

One Shoulder Tops and Dresses

A style that has always been in that may even be the biggest trend this season is one shoulder tops and dresses. The one should trend can be sexy, sophisticated and cute and can be worn for a variety of occasions. So many celebrities have been wearing them that they have been made into everyday wear as well as formal wear.

The one shoulder trend comes in a wide variety of different colors and styles and can be found almost everywhere from Michael Kors to Urban Outfitters. You are bound to find some variation of the trend that best suits you.

Some designers have even started making one shoulder swimwear! A one shoulder bathing suit will for sure be on my list of things to get for this summer! I have already spotted some really nice ones on the Victoria Secret website. A one shoulder bathing suit will definitely make you stand out on the beach and maybe even get you a number if your lucky!

Scarves

Scarves have always been a pretty big trend but more than ever, individuals both men and women have been wearing them. They are a great way to add some color to a fairly plain outfit, for example if you were wearing all black. This trend has especially been seen in the media, all the celebrities are wearing scarves!

They are not hard to find and the best part is that you can find them for fairly reasonable prices at places like Urban Outfitters. They can be worn in a variety of different ways and come in a wide assortment of styles and colors. Scarves are a must have accessory so make sure to go out and get one ASAP!

Plaid shirts are not only for boys anymore

Recently, one of the biggest trends that we just can’t seem to miss out on are plaid flannel shirts! Plaid shirts are just about everywhere and the best part about them is that they are usually reasonably priced. These shirts come in a variety of different color combos and so you can find the one that best suits your style. All the stars are wearing them including Jennifer Aniston, Kate Bosworth and Ashley Olsen, just pick up your weekly People Magazine and you will see that all the stars are wearing them!

If you are afraid of looking a little to masculine in one, go for a more feminized version with ruffles or a bit more fitted! Start browsing now for the plaid shirt that best suits you. There is an assortment of different stores that carry these shirts including but definitely not limited to Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 and even your local Gap!

Anyways I am still in my PJ's maybe I will put my plaid shirt on today!
